It’s Drink & Draw time with our friends at Broken Frontier! This coming month we are featuring guest Olivia Sualdea, Aleesha Nandhra and Holly St Clair. All guests at next months London comic fair - ELCAF (7-9th June). The event will be Wednesday, May 29th.
Olivia Sualdea is a London-based illustrator and graphic designer. She was chosed as one of the ‘Six Small Press Creators to Watch in 2019’ for Broken Frontier.
Aleesha Nandhra is an Illustrator and Printmaker in London. She was also chosen as one of the ‘Six Small Press Creators to Watch in 2019’. She has published such zines as Thinking in the Dark and Dark Masks. She recently worked with the British Council doing a series of workshop in Nepal on ‘Creating Heorines’. She created the Google Doodle of filmmaker Dadasaheb Phalke for to celebrate his 148th birthday.
Holly St Clair is an illustrator based in London, UK. I've had the pleasure of working with clients like Lazy Oaf, Lululemon, Slow Down Studio, Camden Town Brewery and Bailey Nelson.
This event will be Wednesday, May 29th at the King’s Arms pub.
Hosted by Gosh’s Nora Goldberg and Broken Frontier’s Andy Oliver, the evening will provide an opportunity for attendees to find their artistic muse in a relaxed and informal atmosphere in the company of a rotating list of guest creators from across all areas of comics publishing. With such a great group of creators you certainly won’t be in want of inspiration!
The Drink and Draw will begin at Gosh! at 6.30pm with an opportunity to buy work from the featured artists at a discounted price before heading to the evening’s location of choice. At 7pm we will be going to a local pub, Kings Arms to begin our drinking and drawing!
