Red-hot writing talent Ram V will be here on Wednesday October 30th, 6-7pm, to sign copies of These Savage Shores, his stunning tale of mythology, horror and colonialism. We’ll also be launching our Gosh! Exclusive Bookplate Edition of the book!
As his writing career gathers steam with the big publishers, Ram’s impressive creator-owned work is not to be overlooked. We’ve been impressed with his work on books such as Grafity’s Wall, Black Mumba and Paradiso, but it’s These Savage Shores, in collaboration with artist Sumit Kumar, which has really made an impact on us. All but certain to be one of our best of the year, it’s a horror tale with something to say.
“Two centuries after the first European ship sailed to the Malabar Coast and made landfall at Calicut, The East India Company seeks to secure its future along the lucrative Silk Route, in the year 1766. An old evil now sails aboard a company ship, hoping to make a home in this new found land. But he will soon find that the ground along the Indus is an ancient one with daemons and legends far older than himself. Along These Savage Shores, where the days are scorched and the nights are full of teeth.”
In fact we’ve been so taken with it, we’ve had Sumit Kumar create a beautiful exclusive bookplate for us which will be signed by Ram! Limited to 100 copies, the bookplate edition is available for pre-order on our webstore right now for collection or mail order.
But why not come down and collect it yourself and get Ram to sign your actual book for you! He’ll be here on Wednesday October 30th, 6-7pm. Don’t miss out!
