We'll have Tor Freeman, Richard Graham, Daisy Hirst, Gary Northfield, Viviane Schwarz and Dan White here for a spooky kids workshop on Saturday 28th October from 11am-1pm as a part of our Halloween celebrations!
As per our ever-popular Free Comic Book Day drawing table, kids aged 6-12 are welcome to pull up a chair and draw along with professional comic and picture book artists. Let's see your best ghosts, ghouls, goblins and other spooky creations!
No tickets or booking required: just come in any time over the two hour period and pull up a seat. We'll have art supplies at the table courtesy of our friends at CassArt. All we ask is a bit of patience if it gets busy on the day, as there may be a small wait for a seat, and also a little consideration if there are people waiting to get on the table.
Let's meet the artists!
Tor Freeman is a Sendak Fellowship recipient who has created books such as Olive & the Bad Mood, Digby Dog Delivers and The Toucan Brothers.
Richard Graham is a celebrated artist whose first picture book, The Cranky Caterpillar, recently debuted from Thames and Hudson.
Daisy Hirst is the author of the delightful books Alphonse, That Is Not Okay To Do, The Girl With A Parrot On Her Head and Hilda And The Runaway Baby.
Gary Northfield is the award-winning writer and comics artist behind such strips as Derek the Sheep, Gary's Garden, and Tales of the Teenytinysaurs, as well as the smash hit book series Julius Zebra.
Viviane Schwarz is a multifaceted artist whose works include comics, picturebooks and interactive experiences, including the titles There Are Cats In This Books, There Are NO Cats In This Book and Is There A Dog In This Book?
Dan White is the creator of the self-published, all-ages, monster-hunting Cindy & Biscuit, and co-host of the popular SILENCE podcast.
What's more, we'll even have some FREE comics for the kids! So come along and join the fun!
