Drink & Draw 'Post-Safari Festival' August Edition

It’s Drink & Draw time with our friends at Broken Frontier! Hopefully everyone is feeling inspired by Safari Festival, so we've gathered some great artists to help channel that creative spirit! We have Sabrina Scott, Wai Wai Pang, and Zoe Taylor! The event will be Tuesday, August 29th.

Sabrina Scott is visiting us by way of Canada, so this a unique opportunity to meet with this talent creator! Her comics, Witchbody, was nominated for Doug Wright comic award. WITCHBODY is a meandering synthesis of autoethnography, magic theory, and philosophical speculation. Scott is a PhD student in Science and Technology studies.

Wai Wai Pang is an illustrator in Milton Keynes, who will be exhibiting at Safari Festival. She is a graduate of the University of Brighton. Her new graphic novel is Ripples, published by Peow Studios, the story of two cops searching for a missing child.

Zoe Taylor is a London-based artist. She recently had a comics, Joyride, published by Breakdown Press. She had done lots of editorial work with clients Guardian, The New York Times, and AnOther. Also to check out his her collaboration with Marc Jacobs.

This event will be Tuesday, 29th August at Coach & Horses pub.

Hosted by Gosh’s Nora Goldberg and Broken Frontier’s Andy Oliver! The Drink and Draw will begin at Gosh! at 6.30pm with an opportunity to buy work from the featured artists at a discounted price before heading to the evening’s location of choice. Art supplies are provided by our sponsor CassArt. At 7pm we will be going to a local pub, Coach & Horses to begin our drinking and drawing!
