We're Hiring! Assistant to the Book Buyer Needed!
Yes, hot on the heels of our last recruitment drive, our Nora has had an offer just too good to resist, so we’re hiring for the position of Assistant to the Book Buyer!
This is a customer-facing role that needs a good mix of people skills, knowledge, attention to detail and common sense. Applicants should demonstrate a good, broad knowledge of the comics medium, and an eager willingness to learn more. Experience in bookselling is a definite plus, as the role will involve a great deal of delivery processing and in time some ordering responsibilities.
With a 32-year track record in the industry, we at Gosh! pride ourselves on being a must-visit destination. We believe in the power and versatility of comics as a medium, and our efforts to reach beyond a traditional comics audience have seen us place as a regional finalist twice in the British Book Awards Independent Bookshop of the Year category. Comics are our first and foremost passion, and our small, dedicated team strive to bring the medium to devoted fans and curious newcomers alike.
The position is full-time and permanent and will pay London Living Wage (currently £10.55/hr). We would ideally like a successful applicant to start no later than early July, though we would of course expect you serve out your full notice period.
