The Gosh! Authority 11.07.18
We've got a release so big this week that we're just going to put it right at the start!
LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN: THE TEMPEST #1 - SIGNED BY KEVIN O'NEILL
Writer: Alan Moore
Artist: Kevin O'Neill
It's the grand finale as Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill begin the capstone to their 20 year journey with the League, and also to their comics careers. Yep, both men are retiring from comics after this, so enjoy it while you can. It's a breakneck adventure across time and space, culminating in the apocalyptic era of 2996 in the domed city of "We". Make sure you study up on the previous volumes, because this one is throwing it all in! And as a special bonus, all our copies are signed by Kevin O'Neill, so be sure to get in quick for a copy, or you can order right now via our webstore. If you've got LOEG on your standing order, rest assured a signed copy will automatically be winging its way to you.

Julian Hanshaw was in on Friday evening to launch his new GN Cloud Hotel, as well as his collection of artwork for the Pho restaurant chain. It was a lovely evening with some tasty Vietnamese beverages on hand (seen above enroute to the event), and we've still got copies of both books signed by Julian available in store!
Then on Saturday, amidst the craziness of Pride and the football, we had Small Press Day, with an amazing roster of self-publishing veterans taking a series of themed workshops, as well as working on a collaborative mini-comic with our pals at Orbital (which is free and may still be available to grab from both stores).
Then that evening we had a launch party for the 2018 edition of the Broken Frontier Small Press Yearbook, with a line-up of some of the UK's most exciting new comics talent! Plenty of copies now available in store if you missed out!
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1
Writer: Nick Spencer
Artist: Ryan Ottley
As sad as it is to see Dan Slott move on from Spidey, we're excited to see what Spencer and Ottley do now. The former's Superior Foes of Spider-Man (in collaboration with Steve Lieber) was one of the most solidly entertaining Spider-Man spin-off series we'd ever seen, and as much as we loved Ottley's work on Robert Kirkman's Invincible, it's exciting to see him cut loose on a different universe. Designed as a back-to-basics jumping on point, if you've strayed away from the old Webhead's continuity-heavy adventures of late then now's a good time to give him another try!

In tracking the movements and origins of the woman, she hopes to find some kind of peace with her own thoughts, where violent flights of imagination frequently cosume her.

A moving, funny, wonderfully humane story about two women who move beyond their history and allow themselves the opportunity to love one another. Rayanne still suffers from a painful breakup years earlier, finding solace in her cats and a succession of crushes she would never dare act upon. Ali is still mourning the death of her wife, the idea of being with anyone else completely unthinkable.
