PLEASE NOTE THE DATE OF OUR RICK AND MORTY SIGNING HAS CHANGED. Rick and Morty illustrator Marc Ellerby will be signing with us to celebrate the release of the collected Pocket Like you Stole it on Saturday the 28th of April! Please remember Marc will only be signing comics he's drawn. If you can't make it down on the day and would like to have Rick and Morty: Pocket Like You Stole It signed, you can pre-order a copy through our online shop.

Last Wednesday was our latest Reads evening, our regular monthly comics reading group. We had a packed house with lots of lovely new faces attending for the first time, thanks in no small part to the sheer quality of this month's book: Tillie Walden's autobiographical masterpiece Spinning. New and old faces alike had some great in-depth back and forth about the work and as is normal with these evenings everyone had a laugh. If you've never been to one of our regular events but fancy coming along, please do. Everyone is welcome, and it doesn't matter if it's your first comic or your millionth. The regular members are an incredibly friendly bunch and always welcoming to new people in attendance. You can keep up to date with Reads on its own Twitter page, or view our events page.  Next month's book is Alecos Papadatos, Abraham Kawa and Annie Di Donna's Democracy, a graphic novel that wrestles with history & politics and explores the foundations of modern civilisation. Also we offer a 10% discount on the book to people looking to attend the event, just mention it's a Reads book at checkout.

David Quantick was in conversation with artist/writer Reinhard Kleist last Saturday to talk about his work, process, career and to celebrate the launch of his latest book - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: An Art Book. A huge thank you to the attentive crowd who join us on the hottest day of the year so far to listen to this fascinating and insightful conversation, and of course a massive thank you Reinhard and everyone at Selfmadehero for helping us put on such a wonderful event. After the talk, Reinhard did a mini signing and even left us with a huge stack of signed goodies. Some of which you can find on our Webstore.
