: Una
Publisher: Inpress Books

Creator Una’s first graphic novel Becoming/Unbecoming explored what it meant for a young girl to grow up in an atmosphere of shame, misogyny, violence and silence. Her bending of the comic format to craft something beautiful, unique and breathtakingly honest made it of the the most powerful reads of the year. Now in her new graphic novel, Cree, Jolene finds friendship and creativity with a 'Cree' group as she travels through the rural and urban landscape of County Durham. Cree is gentle and delicate, a story that plays with symmetry and the sequential in Una's own brilliantly distinctive and innovative style.
