Tom Gauld will be here to celebrate the release of his latest strip collection, Baking With Kafka, on the 8th of September from 7-9pm! To sweeten the deal, as if it needed it, the event will be your first chance to pick up our limited bookplate edition.
The signed, exclusive bookplate edition is currently up for pre-order now through our online store. It is limited to just 300 and we don't anticipate these sticking about very long as, like us, people really love Mr Gauld. If you can't make it down but don't want to miss out, then you can arrange for an in store pick up via the pre-order link. As with all of our events, keep up with all of the latest updates on the dedicated Facebook event page.Read More
Hope you all enjoyed the final bank holiday of the summer! Just a reminder that due to the holiday weekend, this week's comics will be out on the shelves a little later than normal as we'll only be receiving them on Wednesday morning. Hopefully we'll have them out by lunchtime Wednesday, but keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook, where we'll announce as soon as they're on the shelf.
Great kids book launch this Friday: Katherina Manolessou will be here to launch her new Frances Lincoln picture book Look For Ladybird in Plant City from 7-9pm. It's a beautiful book, and we'll also have copies of her previous title T-Veg to boot. More details here.Read More
Since his debut in Walking Dead #100, Negan, the charismatic psychopath antagonist to Rick Grimes, has become a fan favourite. It was only a matter of time before they dove into his past to show us what lead him down the path of enthusiastic violence we've witnessed throughout the series since his arrival. This origin story was originally serialised monthly in IMAGE+ magazine, but now Here's Negan will be getting the hardcover treatment this October, and we're celebrating its arrival with a signed and exclusive bookplate produced for us by series artist Charlie Adlard! Charlie's schedule is pretty packed these days, so we're extremely grateful he's managed to find time to provide us with the painted portrait above in all its disturbing glory! Pre-orders are live on our website [HERE]. Word of advice: at the rate these are flying out, I wouldn't dither too long over ordering one. We strongly suspect these will sell out before release.Read More

BIG news coming out of San Diego this week: Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill are - even as we speak - working on the fourth and final volume of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Entitles The Tempest, it's a landmark volume which will not only cap off the long-running saga of Mina Murray and her erstwhile literary companions, but also mark the retirement of both men from comics work.
The Tempest will be a 6-issue mini-series co-published by Top Shelf and Knockabout, each issue 32 pages in (mostly) full colour, retailing at £4.25. Issue #1 is scheduled for a June 2018 release, and if you've had a standing order with us for League in the past, rest assured that we still have those details on file. If you haven't ordered League before, or fear you may have cancelled in a moment of crazed abandon, just drop us a line to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get you sorted.
