Gosh! and Broken Frontier presents Drink & Draw September

It’s time for Drink & Draw with our friends at Broken FrontierOn Tuesday, September 20th we have special guests Hannah Berry, Illya, Joe Decie, and Rebecca K Jones.

Hannah Berry, author of the graphic novel Britten and Brulightly, the story of a P.I. who lies in hope for a happy ending. Her second graphic novel Adamtime, a horror story of four random strangers all linked by the strange event that occur on a night train. She is currently working on the graphic novel Livestock. Recently she wrote a story for 2000AD’s Judge Dredd. She co-hosts the podcast NO YOU HANG UP with artist Dan Berry.


Ilya is author of the award-winning graphic novel series The End of the Century Club, an entry in noir anthology It’s Dark in London, a adaptation of King Lear and, the graphic novel Room for Love. Illustration clients include the BBC, the Royal Academy of Arts, and The Times and Guardian newspapers. He has edited three volumes of The Mammoth Book of BEST NEW MANGA (2006, 2007, 2008).


Joe Decie is the author of The Accidental Salad and The Listening Agent with Blank Slate.  His longest work to date is Pocket Full Of Coffee, and more recently his excellent 24-Hour Comics piece at this years Lakes Festival. He is currently working on a new book, Collecting Sticks.


Rebecca K Jones co-authored the blog cats vs bunnies with Teresa McLaughlin from 2012-2014. She works on her own online comics currently Cat Disco, which a print version can be found of in the shop. She recently published a comic, Let’s Go Home, a collection of 3 stories about the housing crisis.


This event will be Tuesday, September 20th at The Crown pub.

Hosted by Gosh’s Nora Goldberg and Broken Frontier’s Andy Oliver, the evening will provide an opportunity for attendees to find their artistic muse in a relaxed and informal atmosphere in the company of a rotating list of guest creators from across all areas of comics publishing. With such a great group of creators you certainly won’t be in want of inspiration!
The Drink and Draw will begin at Gosh! at 6.30pm with an opportunity to buy work from the featured artists at comics, and at 7pm we will be going to a local pub, The Crown to begin our drinking and drawing!
