The man that inspired a thousand cosplays, O’Malley is well known for his acidic tweets and loyal fanbase; fans that have filled the three years since Seconds was announced devouring the gorgeous colour editions of Scott Pilgrim and perfecting their Ramona Flowers glower. He’s also won a string of awards including:  2005 Doug Wright Award for Best Emerging Talent, 2006 Joe Shuster Award for Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Cartoonist (Writer/Artist), 2010 Scott Pilgrim vs. the Universe Eisner Award for Best Humor Publication, and 2010 Harvey Award Special Award for Humor In Comics. And that’s not listing the nominations!

The story focuses on Katie, celebrated young chef,  and the power she gains over time. It turns out the power to take control of your life, and the consequences, has been under our noses the whole time:  1. Write your mistake, 2. Ingest one mushroom, 3. Go to sleep, 4. Wake anew. If only we’d known it were that easy.

Curiosity piqued? Come along to the launch – there won’t be any life-changing mushrooms but there will be drinks and there will  Bryan will be on hand to sign copies of the book. The party kicks off on the 14th of August, between 7-9pm. See you there then.
