Young Avengers Signing — Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie

We here at Gosh! have been loving  Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie’s Young Avengers, and if Tumblr is anything to go by we know you have been, too. So! We’ve invited them over to hang out for an hour in the shop to celebrate the release of the first Young Avengers collection, Style > Substance. They’ll be occupying our signing table for ONE! HOUR! ONLY! on Saturday the 7th of September, from 2pm until 3pm.

AND: The first ten people to purchase a copy of the book on the day will receive a copy of the event poster to get signed too. You’ll have an extra thing to try not to lose at the pub an hour later. You’re welcome.

Here’s the lowdown on the book:

Legacy isn’t a dirty word…but it’s an irrelevant one. It’s not important what our parents did. It matters what WE do. Someone has to save the world. You’re someone. Do the math. The critically acclaimed team of Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie reinvent the teen super hero comic for the 21st century, uniting Wiccan, Hulkling and Kate “Hawkeye” Bishop with Kid Loki, Marvel Boy and Ms. America. No pressure, right? As a figure from Loki’s past emerges, Wiccan makes a horrible mistake that comes back to bite everyone on their communal posteriors. Fight scenes! Fake IDs! And plentiful feels! (aka “meaningful emotional character beats” for people who aren’t on tumblr.) Young Avengers is as NOW! as the air in your lungs, and twice as vital. Hyperbole is the BEST! THING! EVER!

This first collection includes issues #1 to #5 plus some bits from Marvel Now! Point One. If you want to reserve a copy of the book shoot us an email at info@goshlondon.com and we’ll sort it out for you.
