Tom Humberstone is the dude behind the most extravagantly lovely small press anthology on the shelf – Solipsistic Pop. If you were here on Free Comic Book Day you would have seen him drawing pictures at the table, or maybe hanging around in the window drawing some more pictures. He draws a lot of pictures. That’s kind of why we like him.

His new thing is a comic called Ellipsis which he pitches to you thusly:

El•lip•sis (noun)

From Ancient Greek (elleipsis) to leave out, fall short

  1. A mark or series of marks used to indicate an intentional omission, unfinished thought or a trailing off into silence. The ellipsis can also inspire a feeling of melancholy or longing.
  2. A sudden leap from one topic to another.
  3. A comic composed of six standalone but interconnected short stories by Tom Humberstone

Issue 1/6 Pregnant Pause. A young woman contemplates the transient and incongruous nature of airports as she begins a new chapter of her life.

We’re throwing a launch party here in the shop on July 27, from 7 to 8:30pm. There’ll be original art on display, free booze, and at least one Tom Humberstone who will happily sign copies.

We’ve even got a Facebook event page so you can RSVP on that if that’s your bag.

Hi Hayley!! How do you do?? Yeah, it is a fast “see an’order a book”!! Could you reserve a copy for me from this excellent artist?? If he could dedicate it to me, “To Fred MANSON” (that will break the black market of signed copies on Ebay – how I hate these “guys”!!!!!!) and if he could draw a little sketch inside (or on a board) that will be very excellent (if he has the time of course!!! HE MUST HAVE THE TIME!!! <= It's not me… It's from The Mighty Tharg… All Hail The Mighty Tharg). Thank you very much for your help!!!

I hope that you will have enough time to rest after the rude day of Alan Moore & Kevin O'Neill signing session!! One thing about Moore:… LONG LIVE BEFORE WATCHMEN!!!!! It is said… Wow… Non mais!!!!

Again, thank you for your help!!

    Have an excellent weekend!!

    Friendly yours,
    Fred MANSON
