Gary Spencer Millidge has been a familiar face on the British comics scene for years, is the author of his own acclaimed series Strangehaven, and a close pal of the bearded genius Alan Moore – so much so that he’s written not one, but two books on the man and his work. The first – Alan Moore: Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentlemen – was a 50th birthday tribute to his friend: an anthology of essays, interviews, articles and illustrations by over a hundred well-known contributors, all pulled together by Millidge’s editorial skills.
